The bend pulley, also known as the guide roller, is a key component of the common belt conveyor. It is mainly used to change the running direction of the conveyor belt or to press the conveyor belt to increase the wrap angle of the transmission drum. They are powerful transmission components used in conveyor and bulk handling applications. However, how to protect this pulley from slipping and guarantee the best production capacity becomes a headache for all mining and bulk material handling applications.
Recently, one customer turned to KINGECRA for help as they wanted to solve the abrasion and slipping problems for their bending pulleys. They told us that they have been using the rubber layer on their bending pulley in the past years, but the result seemed not so good. Usually they have to welding steel bricks on pulley surface when the rubber layers worn out so that they could reduce down the slipping frequency. It takes much of their time and labor cost to do such maintenance.
